Red Umbrella Film Festival 2025

We’re beyond excited to announce the second edition of Red Umbrella Film Festival on 16th-19th October 2025 across venues in Dublin, Ireland, including Light House Cinema and DV8.

Red Umbrella Film Festival is about more than films. It’s an opportunity for sex workers to connect and build community, and for allies to learn more about sex work and how you can support those involved in the industry. Over four days in October, the festival will have info stalls, workshops, panel discussions, film screenings, and much more; our infamous stripper bingo and after party with performances and DJs will make this a long weekend to remember.

We will not only be showing films about sex work, but also features and short films made by sex workers, as we believe nothing should be about us without us.

Red Umbrella Film Festival is supported by Amnesty Ireland, EdgeFund, and the Arts Council of Ireland. We are grateful to Unite the Union for supporting us by hosting the film festival.

FUCKTOYS Annapurna Sriram | U.S.A. | 2025 | 1hr 46min | English

Part-time sex worker, full-time chaos magnet, AP is convinced that the universe has it out for her… and she might be right. In this wild, unfiltered debut from writer/director/star Annapurna Sriram — AP seeks a cosmic reset after a tarot reader floating in a swamp tells her she needs $1,000 and a sacrificial lamb to lift her curse. Armed with neither, she meets up with her long-lost kindred spirit Danni, and together the two moped off on a bizarre quest through Trashtown USA — a dystopian, neon-drenched sprawl of strip clubs and urban decay, stocked with a series of assorted oddballs, Tom of Finland cops, and some all-too-familiar type clients. Fucktoys is rude, crude, unhinged, girlypop middle finger to filmic convention, and a comedic calling card for anyone who finds themself asking the question: am I cursed???
